In addition to the individual skills and knowledge of the partners the consortium has another absolutely vital quality. They have demonstrated numerous times the ability to work together, as groups to successfully deliver ESPRIT and IST (5FP and 6FP) research projects, in other European or national initiatives, as well as in direct research collaborations. Usually untried consortia take a significant time to overcome the practical problems of working together. This consortium does not have this problem. In short, even for a 4 years project like SeCSE, there will not be wasted time to start to “understand” each other loosing crucial time for the success of the project.
